Compensation Manager

Michels Corporation is a family-owned infrastructure contractor focused on high-impact engineering and construction projects, employing thousands across the U.S. The Compensation Manager will lead the development and management of global compensation programs, ensuring pay equity, market competitiveness, and alignment with business objectives while partnering with HR teams and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain global compensation programs and pay structures
  • Conduct market pricing, benchmarking, and total rewards analysis to ensure competitiveness and equity
  • Partner with HR leaders and senior leadership to align compensation strategy with business objectives
  • Manage compensation administration processes, job evaluations, salary reviews, and equity programs
  • Use HRIS and compensation analysis tools to produce reports, models, and recommendations
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a compensation team and provide subject-matter expertise
  • Ensure compliance with compensation-related regulations and communicate implications to stakeholders
  • Handle sensitive and confidential compensation matters with professionalism

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field (required)
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation (preferred)
