Human Resources Business Partner

Flexport is a technology-driven global logistics company on a mission to simplify global trade. The People Team partners with the business to deliver talent strategy, leadership development, and exceptional employee experiences. The HR Business Partner will provide end-to-end HR support across corporate and high-volume fulfillment operations, focusing on employee relations, compliance, performance management, and workforce planning.

Skills

  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. employment laws and compliance requirements
  • Proven experience conducting investigations and resolving employee relations issues
  • HRIS proficiency (Workday preferred) and comfort with HR metrics/analytics
  • Experience supporting multi-site and high-volume/warehouse environments
  • Strong coaching, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to analyze data and make business-aligned recommendations
  • Experience with contingent workforce management and FLSA/timekeeping audits

Responsibilities

  • Conduct impartial investigations into employee complaints, grievances, and policy violations and document findings
  • Coach and advise managers on complex employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary actions
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws (ADA, FMLA, EEO, OSHA, FLSA) and perform regular audits
  • Develop and deliver HR and compliance training programs
  • Analyze HR metrics and provide data-driven recommendations to leadership
  • Support workforce planning, contingent workforce management, and high-volume operations needs
  • Lead special projects related to culture, diversity & inclusion, and employee experience
  • Facilitate exit interviews and analyze turnover trends to inform retention strategies
  • Streamline HR processes and improve workflows to increase efficiency
  • Travel up to 30% within the U.S. to support multi-site operations

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar certification preferred
