Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Human Resources Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Human Resources Business Advisor (HRBA).
Reporting to senior leaders on the HR Business Advisor team, the person in this role will support core functions within the Toyota Motor North America by integrating macro-level HR-related priorities, strategies, and goals with business unit-focused initiatives and programs in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
The role requires the ability to align broad HR priorities, strategies, and goals with the specific needs, initiatives, and programs of the organization. This is an individual contributor position with no direct reports.
The successful candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills including relationship management, negotiating, and ability to influence.
This position is based at our North American headquarters in Plano, Texas. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within commutable distance of this location.
What you’ll be doing
Develop and nurture strong and productive partnerships with a diverse group of senior managers and executives as well as with other groups within HR.
Use Workforce Planning & Analytics (WP&A) tools (e.g., segmentation framework, headcount plans, etc.) to assist assigned business unit in making workforce-related decisions.
Help business managers/leaders understand and build workforce plans, including identifying current state, future state, and gaps.
Lead the education, implementation and follow-through of all existing HR programs, including but not limited to: Performance Management (Driving Performance) and corrective action, Pay for Performance (compensation programs such as merit, growth, bonus, discretionary awards), learning/development programs, as well as talent/succession planning.
Drive organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, talent management, performance management, and development activities, using data-driven insights.
Develop close and collaborative partnerships with HR Centers of Excellence, such as Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Compensation, and Workforce Planning.
Partner closely with Talent Acquisition to effectively and efficiently staff open positions.
Provide advice and counsel along with Team Member Relations team to resolve team member concerns. Also partner with the leaves and disability management team on LOA cases.
Find creative and impactful solutions to complex people-related matters.
Problem-solve on a daily basis, on a variety of topics using a creative, collaborative approach.
Ad hoc projects assigned such as process improvement, etc.
What you bring
Strong experience with large business unit support in an HR Business Advisor or HR Generalist/Analyst role
HR department project work, especially in a leadership role
Experience providing HR consultation to organizational executives on people strategies to meet business goals
Experience using data-driven insights to influence direction or approach
Experience developing and delivering presentations to all levels of the company, including top executives
Knowledge and understanding of compensation programs, LOA administration, and recruiting processes
Knowledge and understanding of applicable employment/labor laws
Bachelor’s degree or higher, or equivalent professional work experience relevant to this position
Added bonus if you have
HR experience supporting a technology organization highly preferred
PHR/SPHR Certification
