The Role
Advantage Capital is seeking an experienced, people-centric VP of HR to lead the full spectrum of human-capital strategy for our 200+ person, multi-state organization. In this highly visible role, you will partner with senior leadership to attract, develop, and retain top talent while ensuring our policies, programs, and culture scale with the firm’s rapid growth and impact-investment mission.
Strategic Leadership – Develop and execute a three-year HR roadmap aligned to firm objectives; advise the Executive Team on workforce planning, org design, and succession.
Talent Acquisition & Employer Brand – Oversee recruiting strategy, partner with hiring managers, and amplify our brand to diverse, mission-aligned talent pools.
Total Rewards – Lead compensation philosophy, annual salary review, incentive plans, and benefits strategy; benchmark against industry and impact-investing peers.
Performance & Development – Own the performance-review cycle, promotion processes, and leadership-development programs; champion a culture of continuous feedback.
HR Operations & Compliance – Ensure flawless HRIS data integrity, payroll collaboration, policy management, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Employee Engagement & Leadership Development – Measure engagement, build targeted action plans, and lead comprehensive leadership-training programs that equip managers at every level to cultivate high-performing, respectful teams aligned with the firm’s mission.
HR Business Partnering – Coach leaders on employee-relations matters, change management, and team effectiveness; serve as a trusted adviser at every level.
Culture Stewardship – Model Advantage Capital’s values, foster psychological safety, and help make work feel meaningful, challenging, and fun.
8+ years progressive HR experience, with 3+ years leading an HR team or function.
Proven success building or scaling HR programs in a fast-growing, multi-state environment (financial services or private-equity/venture-capital a plus).
Deep knowledge of employment law, compensation & benefits, and HR analytics.
Demonstrated strength in coaching senior leaders and influencing without authority.
Experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS/ATS platforms.
SHRM-CP/SCP or HRCI PHR/SPHR preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (Master’s a plus).

Base salary range: $200,000–$225,000, plus equity. Offers may vary based on experience, location, and other factors.
