About the role

Leap Health is seeking a Vice President, Health Plan Sales to lead our go-to-market strategy with national and regional health plans and TPAs.

This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for developing new payer relationships, structuring partnerships across fully insured and self-funded lines of business, and driving growth through both direct sales and channel collaborations.

You will shape Leap’s payer distribution model from the ground up—working cross-functionally to design partnership structures, refine value propositions, and close deals that expand access to our infusion benefit solution.

Key responsibilities

  • Own Leap’s payer sales strategy — develop a comprehensive plan to secure distribution and contracting with national and regional health plans and payer- owned TPAs.

  • Lead B2B sales cycles from prospecting to close, managing multiple stakeholders including network, clinical operations, pharmacy, medical management, and innovation teams.

  • Develop embedded and reseller partnerships with payers, including their TPAs, and care management solutions to drive scale and integrated workflows.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Implementation,Marketing, and Employer Sales to design scalable partnership models and ensure successful launches.

  • Serve as the voice of the payer internally—informing product roadmap, data reporting, and contracting strategies.

  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline using Salesforce and data-driven forecasting; consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals.

  • Represent Leap Health externally at industry conferences, partner meetings, and executive forums.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise sales, partnerships, or business development within digital health, value-based care, or payer/TPA organizations.

  • Proven success selling to or partnering with national/regional health plans, with a deep understanding of payer economics, network management, and specialty drug cost drivers.

  • Quantifiable history of meeting or exceeding sales targets at an early stage company

  • Strong executive presence and ability to build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers (VP/C-suite).

  • Experience negotiating complex contracts, including shared-savings, performance-based, and embedded partnership models.

  • Strategic thinker with exceptional operational follow-through; comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • Mission-driven orientation and passion for improving access, affordability, and patient experience in specialty care.

  • Ability to travel nationally.
