Business Development Manager

Retool is a development platform company focused on enabling fast building of internal tools through a combination of drag-and-drop UI and AI. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead and scale their outbound sales team, driving pipeline growth and supporting aggressive revenue goals.

Skills

  • 2+ years leading outbound business development teams.
  • Experience building and developing BDR/SDR teams.
  • Knowledge of high-growth startup GTM environments.
  • Familiarity with B2B tech stacks including CRM, CEP, Gong, and data enrichment tools.
  • Up-to-date understanding of AI-assisted and modern B2B prospecting techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Sales leadership team in generating qualified outbound opportunities.
  • Coach and develop a high-performing Business Development Representative team.
  • Refine and implement outbound sales strategies, messaging, and workflows.
  • Analyze sales activity data to improve qualification and success rates.
  • Recruit, hire, and grow the BDR team to meet staffing plans and goals.
  • Motivate and mentor team members to exceed sales targets.
  • Forecast and report on sales pipeline and performance metrics.
  • Stay aligned with product launches to update outbound messaging.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
