Employee Relations Specialist

GuidePoint Security is a fast-growing, privately held cybersecurity firm advising enterprise and government customers. The Employee Relations Specialist will act as an HR business partner across multiple lines of business, leading employee relations, performance management, retention, and talent development initiatives while promoting compliance and a supportive, inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders to understand business goals and align HR initiatives to support short- and long-term objectives
  • Provide coaching and guidance on performance management, employee relations investigations, corrective action, and retention strategies
  • Drive talent development and career growth programs in collaboration with talent and learning teams
  • Collaborate with HR Operations to streamline processes and improve HR workflows
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws to ensure compliance
  • Cultivate an inclusive workplace by supporting ERGs and employee engagement programs
  • Document and manage employee relations cases, ensuring confidentiality and consistent application of policies
  • Support change management efforts and provide consultative HR support during organizational initiatives

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred but not required
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant HR experience accepted
