Senior Director, Global People Business Partners

Coursera is a global online learning platform and public benefit corporation with a mission to provide universal access to world-class learning. We seek an experienced Senior Director of Global People Business Partners to lead and scale a high-performing HR Business Partner function, partner with senior leaders across Product, Engineering and GTM, and drive people strategy, organizational transformation, and talent programs that support growth and engagement.

Skills

  • Extensive HRBP and people strategy experience partnering with senior leaders in Product, Engineering or GTM functions.
  • Proven experience building, scaling and coaching high-performing HRBP teams.
  • Strong knowledge of total rewards, talent management, performance management and organizational design.
  • Data-driven and operationally strong with the ability to manage complex programs and drive measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to simplify complex concepts and advise senior executives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and scale the HR Business Partner team to proactively support company objectives and drive strategic HR programs.
  • Partner directly with executive leaders to design and execute people strategy, organizational design, and talent planning.
  • Drive adoption of HR initiatives across the organization, balancing tactical execution with long-term transformational work.
  • Coach and enable leaders to manage change, develop teams, and improve performance and engagement.
  • Build cross-functional partnerships across HR (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Talent Management) and business stakeholders.
  • Lead organizational planning cycles and talent transformation programs, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Develop and implement engagement strategies to increase retention, inclusion, and employee satisfaction.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
