Compensation Business Partner

Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, offering buy-now-pay-later solutions without hidden fees. The Compensation Business Partner will lead strategic and operational compensation initiatives—designing pay structures, incentives, and job architecture while partnering closely with People, Finance, Legal, and executive stakeholders to drive scalable, employee-focused programs.

Skills

  • 8+ years designing and implementing compensation programs
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; experience with data visualization
  • Strong program and project management with executive stakeholder experience
  • Deep subject-matter expertise in compensation practices and benchmarking
  • Experience partnering with People, Finance, and Legal stakeholders
  • Ability to translate strategy into operational processes and documentation
  • Experience with comp tools / systems and process automation

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain compensation programs including job architecture, pay structures, base salary, and short- and long-term incentives
  • Consult with stakeholders and business partners on compensation program design and implementation
  • Analyze market trends and recommend program revisions based on business strategy and economic conditions
  • Partner with People (HRBP and Recruiting), Finance, Legal, and executive leadership to deploy and optimize compensation programs
  • Create and deliver compensation communications and training for leaders and employees
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compensation processes, tools, and reporting

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or relevant) is a plus but not required
  • Professional compensation certifications (e.g., CCP) are a plus
