Lead Recruiter (Tech)

Zocdoc is the leading digital health marketplace on a mission to give power to patients by making it easy to find and book care. We’re seeking a Lead Technical Recruiter to own end-to-end hiring for Engineering, acting as a technology SME who builds pipelines, partners with stakeholders, and delivers an exceptional, data-driven candidate experience.

Skills

  • 6+ years owning full-cycle technical recruiting across levels, including senior hires
  • Proficiency with ATS and recruiting tools (e.g., Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, Workday)
  • Strong sourcing and candidate engagement skills
  • Data-driven approach to measure pipeline health and improve hiring efficiency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication across multiple mediums
  • Proven ability to build credibility with executives and cross-functional partners
  • Commitment to inclusive hiring and diverse pipeline-building

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end recruitment for Engineering roles from Associate to Director, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, negotiating, and closing candidates.
  • Act as a technology subject matter expert while supporting other business areas as needed.
  • Monitor and report on pipeline health using data; identify bottlenecks and drive improvements to hiring metrics.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers and cross-functional stakeholders to provide status updates, market insights, and hiring strategy.
  • Coach hiring teams on interviewing best practices and inclusive hiring to ensure excellent candidate experience.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and belonging within the recruiting function and broader teams.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent practical experience
  • Relevant certifications or coursework in recruiting/HR a plus
