Our Newest Opportunity: 

The Employee Development Specialists acts as a strategic connector between the Learning & Development and Talent Management teams to ensure a cohesive approach to employee growth, performance, and career progression. This role is responsible for aligning development initiatives with talent strategies, identifying skill gaps, and supporting the design and implementation of programs that enhance employee capabilities and organizational effectiveness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Integrate L&D & TM processes and resources

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between L&D and Talent Management to ensure alignment of goals, strategies, and initiatives.
  • Support the integration of learning programs into talent processes such as performance management, succession planning, and career pathing.

Employee Development

  • Maintain learning content within a skill based structure
  • Collaborate with Talent Management, managers, and department leaders to assess development needs and recommend appropriate learning solutions.
  • Partner with leaders and functional leaders to co-create and refine learning journeys that support key talent segments (e.g., critical roles).

Data Analysis & Tracking

  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of development programs and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Analyze talent data (e.g., performance reviews, engagement surveys, skills assessments) to identify trends and inform development strategies.

Champion a culture of continuous learning

  • Facilitate cross-functional communication to ensure a seamless employee experience across the talent lifecycle.
  • Support change management and communication efforts related to development initiatives.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align development initiatives with broader talent and business strategies.
  • Data Literacy: Proficient in analyzing and interpreting talent data to drive decisions (e.g., Power BI, Excel, or Tableau).
  • Technology Savvy: Comfortable navigating GenAI, HRIS, LMS, and digital learning platforms (e.g., Workday, Cornerstone, Degreed, LinkedIn Learning).
  • Project Management: Skilled in managing cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and timelines (e.g., using tools like Asana, Smartsheet, or MS Project).
  • Instructional Design: Familiarity with adult learning principles and experience designing or curating learning content.
  • Talent Development Tools: Experience with career pathing platforms, 360 feedback tools, and performance management systems.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to senior leadership.
  • Influence and Collaboration: Ability to build relationships and influence without authority across departments.
  • Change Management: Understanding of change models (e.g., ADKAR, Kotter) and experience supporting organizational change initiatives.
  • Coaching and Facilitation: Skilled in coaching leaders and facilitating development conversations or workshops.

Education, Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Management, or a related HR function

The typical base pay range for this role nationwide is $55,000 to $60,000 per year.  

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.  We also offer eligible employees health, wellbeing, retirement, and other financial benefits, paid time off, overtime pay for non-exempt employees, and robust learning and development programs. You will receive reimbursement of job-related expenses per the company policy and may receive employee perks and discounts.
