Director, Regional Sales

This role is a senior leadership position responsible for driving commercial sales growth in the assigned territory. You will lead a high-performing sales team, develop and execute territory strategies, and build lasting relationships with key commercial and enterprise clients. The position requires a hands-on leader who can combine strategic thinking with execution, mentor and develop team members, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment with broader business objectives. You will also engage directly with key prospects and customers to influence strategic deals and deliver measurable revenue impact. The ideal candidate thrives in a results-driven environment, demonstrates strong commercial acumen, and is passionate about coaching and growing sales talent.


  • Accountabilities:
  • Lead and manage a regional sales team, setting clear performance expectations and ensuring consistent achievement of revenue and bookings targets.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies, territory plans, and account management approaches to drive new business and expansion within commercial customers.
  • Analyze market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive offerings to refine territory design, coverage, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard high-performing sales talent, while fostering a values-driven, high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales Operations, Marketing, and Customer Success, to support account strategies and optimize customer adoption.
  • Own accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting, using data to coach the team and address performance gaps.
  • Engage directly with key accounts and prospects to influence strategic deals and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Requirements:
  • Proven experience leading high-performing commercial sales teams in SaaS, software, or related technology markets, including coaching, hiring, and talent development.
  • Strong track record of achieving revenue targets, managing pipelines, and executing territory plans.
  • Ability to analyze market dynamics, competitive offerings, and customer needs to inform sales strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and executive presentation skills.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with autonomy and accountability.
  • Familiarity with CRM and sales tools such as Salesforce, Clari, or Marketo.
  • Alignment with company values and ability to transfer leadership and sales skills across software or technology markets.
