Account Director

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Account Director in the United States.

This senior client-facing role is responsible for driving long-term strategic relationships and commercial growth across global accounts. The Account Director will act as the primary partner for key clients, ensuring campaign strategies are aligned with business objectives and delivering measurable impact. You will identify opportunities for expansion, guide clients toward effective solutions, and oversee cross-functional teams to guarantee high-quality execution. This position requires balancing strategic leadership, commercial development, and campaign delivery, while building durable client trust and retention. The role provides an opportunity to influence high-level client strategy, mentor teams, and contribute to the growth of both client revenue and internal capabilities.


Accountabilities:
  • Serve as the senior partner for key clients, ensuring long-term relationship stability and retention.
  • Identify growth opportunities, lead proposals, renewals, upsell initiatives, and cross-market expansions.
  • Provide strategic direction to campaigns, aligning execution with client business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality campaign execution across regions.
  • Monitor account profitability, manage pricing strategies, and support commercial planning.
  • Guide and mentor account teams to deliver strong results, reinforce client trust, and maintain high satisfaction levels.
  • Act as the client’s advocate internally, ensuring their needs and goals are represented across all project touchpoints.
Requirements:
  • 6–7+ years of agency experience leading major client relationships, with a strong record of retention and long-term account stewardship.
  • Proven experience developing and executing long-term strategic account plans focused on loyalty, stability, and growth.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to identify and convert organic growth opportunities into revenue.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, with experience engaging C-suite and senior marketing stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing multi-market or global accounts and large cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable balancing hybrid responsibilities, including client relationship management, commercial growth, and campaign oversight.
