People Compliance Manager

Figma is a leading collaborative design platform enabling teams to take ideas from concept to product. The People Compliance Manager will build and scale global HR compliance frameworks, lead cross-functional compliance projects, manage government reporting and audits, and partner with Legal, Finance, Security and People operations to ensure consistent, compliant people practices across the company.

Skills

  • Deep knowledge of U.S. labor laws and HR regulatory frameworks
  • Experience building or managing HR/people compliance programs
  • Project management and cross-functional stakeholder management
  • Risk assessment and remediation planning
  • Policy development and governance
  • Strong ethical judgment and professional integrity
  • Clear written and verbal communication for training and compliance documentation
  • Analytical skills to interpret reporting and compliance metrics

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement processes to meet recurring global compliance and audit requirements (EEO-1, OFCCP, pay equity, SOC 2, SOX, right-to-work verifications, etc.)
  • Lead and support complex cross-functional compliance projects, driving alignment on programs, policies, training, and communications
  • Conduct global HR risk assessments to identify compliance gaps and prioritize mitigation strategies
  • Create and manage an annual HR compliance calendar tracking milestones, results, and dependencies
  • Develop and govern HR policies and contingent worker policies; maintain consistency across people-facing documentation
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, Security and other stakeholders to ensure HR policies meet business, data security and customer obligations
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and implement required changes across people systems and practices

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Law or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., SHRM, HRCI) are a plus
