Manager, HRBP & People Ops

Brooklinen is building a modern, people-first HR function and seeks a dynamic Manager, HRBP & People Ops to optimize employee experience and operational execution, supporting business units and scaling HR systems for growth.

Skills

  • Experience with HR systems such as Justworks and Lattice.
  • Strong judgment and ability to prioritize in ambiguous situations.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset to improve processes.

  • Detail-oriented with an interest in AI, data, and automation in People teams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted HRBP for assigned teams, supporting org planning, employee development, and team effectiveness.
  • Lead mid-level employee relations with professionalism and escalate complex issues appropriately.
  • Manage and optimize People Ops systems, benefits administration, vendor relationships, and HR policy implementation.
  • Ensure compliance and partnership with Legal and Finance on labor laws and audits.
  • Oversee the PEO relationship and handle day-to-day escalations and process improvements.
  • Streamline onboarding, offboarding, leave tracking, and policy updates with scalability focus.
  • Use data to inform decisions by tracking key People metrics and sharing actionable insights.
  • Support performance cycles, promotions, and internal communications aligning employees with company mission.

Education

  • Relevant HR or business-related education preferred.
