Account Manager, State Patrol

Axon is a mission-driven public safety technology company focused on protecting life through an ecosystem of devices and cloud software. We are seeking an Account Manager to drive strategic growth across major State Patrol agencies, co-own revenue goals with a Key Account Leader, build multi-threaded relationships, and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure long-term adoption and measurable outcomes.

Skills

  • 3+ years full-cycle new business sales (prospecting through close), ideally in enterprise SaaS or complex B2B
  • Proven quota attainment and hunter mentality, building pipeline from scratch
  • Experience managing large, multi-stakeholder accounts, preferably in public sector or public safety
  • Sales forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM proficiency (Salesforce)
  • Strong written and verbal communication with ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • High ownership mentality and ability to coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Willingness and ability to travel 60–80% within territory

Responsibilities

  • Close new business and expansions across a territory of major State Patrol agencies and related public safety organizations
  • Build and manage a long-term growth pipeline; maintain accurate forecasts and deal stages in Salesforce
  • Co-own quota with a Key Account Leader; contribute to team-attributed closed revenue
  • Develop multi-threaded relationships with senior agency stakeholders and identify whitespace opportunities
  • Participate in executive meetings and QBRs to reinforce value and uncover new opportunities
  • Act as primary liaison between customers and internal teams (CSMs, Solutions, Legal, Services) for seamless handoffs
  • Scope and ensure clean deals and monitor service fulfillment, escalating risks as needed
  • Leverage Salesforce and AI tools to improve productivity, insights, and communication
  • Travel frequently (60–80%) across territory to support customers

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience (preferred)
