*Job Summary:
As a Sales Executive – New Business Development, you will serve as the new business sales lead within the Employer- Key/ Coalitions Segment in the Western half of the US for CVS Caremark, the nation’s largest Prescription Benefit Manager (PBM). As a seasoned healthcare sales professional, you will use your years of expertise to grow our business by selling directly to prospective employers, as well as through coalitions run by benefit and pharmacy consultants. You will accomplish this through:
• Developing and executing upon a strategic territory business plan to drive results
• Building relationships with senior level decision makers within the assigned region, including consultants and brokers
• Selling the value of CVS Caremark without focusing on price and using analytical tools and resources to differentiate CVS Caremark in the market
• Preparing internal CVS Caremark teams for finalist presentations you will lead to demonstrate the value of CVS Caremark to prospective employers utilizing a competing PBM
• Collaborating with internal departments to develop innovative solutions that provides a competitive advantage and positions CVS Caremark solutions in the marketplace
Your success as a Strategic Sales Executive will be driven by your ability to gain new business in your region and drive $150-$200M in new business growth on an annual basis via competitive RFP processes. We need someone with a solution selling mindset, solid presentation skills, who is an excellent listener, who has an ability to manage complex transactions, and can collaborate effectively with internal and external partners. Being organized, collaborative, and having a strong work ethic will help you thrive in this role. Your understanding of the PBM and managed care environment as well as keeping up to date on market trends will enable you to position CVS Caremark programs and solutions effectively to client decision makers as well as their healthcare consultants. The contributions you will make as a Strategic Sales Executive will position CVS Caremark for long term growth in the competitive PBM marketplace.
This position is located in the Western region of the U.S. covering a territory West of the Mississippi River inclusive of Illinois and Wisconsin, Candidates must be located within the actual region you will be covering. You must have the ability to travel up to 50% of the time during the active RFP season.
Required Qualifications:
•7+ years of overall professional work experience
•At least 3 years of experience in new business development or account services in the healthcare industry.
•Experience presenting to Senior Executives and clients
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience in new business development in the PBM industry or account services
•Experience in PBM sales
Education:
•Bachelor's Degree preferred
•Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
The typical pay range for this role is:
$75,500.00 - $174,134.00. This base salary range does not include commissions that are earned.
