The Program Coordinator I, under general supervision, supports the planning, development, and implementation of programs within the College of Business at Texas A&M University–San Antonio. The position requires regular travel to designated regions across the United States to recruit prospective students, promote College of Business programs, and build partnerships with businesses and community organizations. The Program Coordinator will represent the College of Business at externally sponsored recruitment events nationwide, providing information about programs to prospective students, families, academic and professional advisors, undergraduate faculty, high school counselors, and the broader public. This position reports directly to the Executive Director of Master’s Programs.
Position Hours
Exempt - Full-time: In-person, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, with some weekends.
Responsibilities:
Represent the TAMU–SA College of Business and its programs to prospective students through group presentations, speaking engagements (e.g., admission counselor panels), and workshops at university fairs and consortium events.
Plan and implement program-related events, including conferences, seminars, lectures, meetings, and workshops.
Advise candidates during the application process, providing guidance on academic eligibility, admission requirements, and program expectations; deliver candid feedback to applicants who do not meet admissions criteria.
Assist and support the Executive Director in developing and executing recruitment strategies; actively participate in meetings to review progress toward enrollment goals.
Manage assigned admissions recruiting territories under the guidance of the Director, including identifying new opportunities, maintaining correspondence with event organizers, and tracking recruitment activity.
Coordinate program communications, marketing initiatives, and outreach efforts.
Compile and maintain program statistics, records, and databases for reporting and assessment.
Prepare and monitor budgets for programs and events as assigned.
Develop and update training materials; deliver training sessions when needed.
Assist in identifying potential funding opportunities to support program growth.
Supervise program staff, student workers, or volunteers as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and goals of the College of Business.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two (2) years of related experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Graduate degree in Business.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and database applications.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and maintain positive relationships with students, employees, and community partners.
