The Talent Search Group at Partner in Publishing is searching for a Field Sales Representative, Higher Education (US South) on behalf of our client, a leading publisher for modern languages and ELL learning products and platforms.

The Field Sales Representative is a key member of the Higher Education team, representing the company’s print and digital language education products to new and existing accounts at colleges, universities, and programs in the territory (Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana).

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Manage and grow an assigned territory by closing business consistently in order to achieve sales quotas.
  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key education professionals.
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer needs.
  • Deliver impactful and engaging digital and live presentations.
  • Ensure utilization of and data accuracy in our CRM and other tools for effective territory. analysis, planning and account management.

You must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree minimum.
  • 2-3+ years' experience in a consultative sales, business development or account. management role within the education technology (ed-tech), language learning or publishing industry.
  • Strong technology orientation and experience presenting and/or doing demonstrations to a variety of audiences in-person and virtually.
  • Excellent relationship building, prospecting, territory building, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience using a CRM (e.g. Salesforce) to manage sales activities and accounts.
  • Ideal if you are proficient in Spanish, German, French or Italian.

Salary: $80-85K base salary plus sales bonus and car allowance

Benefits package includes life/health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), educational assistance, commuter pass subsidies, generous employee referral bonuses, PTO and paid holidays.

Location: This role requires residence within the territory and a willingness to travel throughout the states of TN, AR, AL, MS and LA. Ideally, candidates will reside near a major airport, e.g. near Nashville or Memphis or Birmingham, AL. Relocation is not available for this position.
