• Discovery Education has an active employee-led Diversity & Inclusion Council whose mission is to promote a diverse and inclusive culture in the Discovery Education work environment that will foster positive staff relationships and fuel innovation in company produced work.  The D&I Council produces a wealth of programming throughout the year, including live webinars with guest speakers and facilitated discussions, videos, book club and regular Town Hall presentations on topics including Juneteenth, women and gender in the workplace, power and privilege, Hispanic heritage month, disability awareness month, Native American heritage month and Celebrating Pride.
• We are a proud member of the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance.
• We participate in the McKinsey Black Leadership Academy, to equip Black leaders with the capabilities, mindsets, behaviors, and network needed to achieve their professional aspirations.
• We participate in the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance Emerging Business Leaders Program, a talent development program designed to enhance the leadership capability of high-potential, diverse professionals who will ultimately create competitive advantage for Charlotte’s workforce and economy.
• In the Spring of 2020, Discovery Education launched Equity Talks, a live webinar series featuring the nation's top educational leaders as they lead conversations about access and equity in teaching and learning.
• In the Summer of 2020, we launched our inaugural annual internship program to provide meaningful learning opportunities for participants.  We partner with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU's) to attract a diverse pool of candidates to our program.
• Discovery Education has established a partnership with The Center for Culturally Responsive Teaching and Learning to ensure that all our programs and products meet the highest standards of cultural responsiveness.
• We conduct regular internal training related to harassment and discrimination prevention, unconscious bias, civility and respect in the workplace, transgender inclusion and how to stand up to racism.
• We are committed to continuing to build a diverse workforce that reflects the communities we serve and we utilize a wide range of job posting sites, networking groups, associations and councils to reach a diverse audience of potential candidates.
