Account Executive - In-Territory (San Diego, CA)

Justworks is a mission-driven HR and payroll platform that supports small businesses with PEO-like solutions. They seek a results-oriented Account Executive to own full-cycle sales in the San Diego territory — building pipeline, prospecting, negotiating, and closing deals while representing Justworks in the local small-business community.

Skills

  • Proven consultative selling and full-cycle sales experience
  • Cold-calling and high-velocity lead generation
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and sales engagement tools (e.g., SalesLoft)
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and market intelligence platforms (e.g., ZoomInfo)
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to communicate complex topics simply and persuasively

Responsibilities

  • Manage an owned book of business and a full sales pipeline from prospecting to close
  • Establish and execute a territory plan to build presence within the San Diego small-business community
  • Proactively prospect via cold outreach, market research, and sales tools to generate new business
  • Communicate Justworks’ value proposition and tailor solutions to customer needs
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet or exceed quota and OTE targets
  • Advocate customer feedback internally to influence product and experience improvements
  • Travel in-territory (~25%) for networking events, trade shows, and client meetings

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience
  • Comfortable with ongoing sales training and product learning
