Sales Manager (Remote - California)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of VersaTube Building Systems. We are currently looking for a Sales Manager in California.

In this role, you will lead and inspire a team of sales professionals to achieve ambitious revenue goals while expanding market presence in a competitive industry. You will be responsible for building and executing sales strategies, driving business growth, and cultivating strong relationships with growers and partners. Acting as both a leader and a hands-on contributor, you will oversee team performance, refine sales processes, and ensure consistent value delivery across all client interactions. This position requires a balance of strategic vision, team development, and direct engagement with clients to secure long-term success.

Accountabilities

  • Recruit, train, and mentor new sales team members, providing clear guidance and measurable KPIs to track success.
  • Design and implement sales strategies, business plans, and initiatives to drive revenue and strengthen market positioning.
  • Collaborate with marketing and senior leadership to align messaging, pitches, and customer engagement.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, pipeline development, and forecasts, providing actionable insights to management.
  • Build and nurture long-term customer relationships by understanding client needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Support team members in lead generation, negotiations, and closing high-value deals.
  • Manage budgets related to travel, presentations, and sales operations while ensuring efficiency and ROI.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive sales experience, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing end-to-end sales strategies and processes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to inspire and train teams.
  • Comfortable with frequent travel, client visits, and participation in industry seminars.
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics, adapt strategies, and continuously improve results.
