Senior Compensation Consultant (3 month contract)

Cohere is seeking a Compensation Expert for an intensive 2 to 3-month contract to lead a high-impact refresh of our compensation bands to help us attract top talent. We need a creative problem-solver with deep expertise and experience in competitive talent markets.

What You’ll Do:

  • Analyze emerging compensation trends in the AI/ML space

  • Benchmark against top industry data sources, including open source data (e.g. Levels.fyi, and job postings)

  • Update existing and develop compensation bands for new roles/levels using innovative approaches (e.g., open-source data mining, competitor job scraping) to ensure our ranges are market-leading

  • Implement updated ranges for all job functions and levels by the end of December

You Bring:

  • 5+ years Compensation experience in tech/highly competitive markets

  • Expertise in benchmarking and non-conventional data sourcing

  • Ability to balance analytical rigor with creative problem-solving

  • Ability to drive decisions under tight deadlines
