Business Development Associate

Affirm is a consumer finance company reinventing credit to be more honest and transparent, enabling flexible buy-now-pay-later options without hidden fees. The Business Development team partners with Key and Enterprise Sales to generate top-of-funnel opportunities through creative outbound strategies. They are seeking a driven, tenacious Business Development Associate to execute prospecting, nurture early-stage leads, and help scale Affirm's merchant partnerships.

Skills

  • Proven outbound prospecting and cold outreach experience
  • Experience managing early-stage sales pipeline and lead qualification
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and managing activity-driven workflows
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with legal, risk, marketing, and product teams
  • Passion for e-commerce and consumer finance

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new partnership opportunities to drive top-of-funnel growth
  • Perform initial cold outreach and nurture leads via phone, email, and social channels
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and Sales & BD to design outreach campaigns and prioritize targets
  • Engage prospects to understand goals and challenges and articulate Affirm’s value proposition
  • Manage early stages of the sales pipeline and hand off qualified opportunities to account teams
  • Contribute to scaling core business and product initiatives through consistent pipeline generation

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
