Sales Engineer

Warp is a fast-growing developer tools company building an agentic development platform that helps engineers code, deploy, and debug production software. They are looking for their first Solutions / Sales Engineer to lead technical discovery, demos, and POCs, own enterprise evaluations, and partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering to scale technical adoption across enterprise engineering organizations.

Skills

  • 3-5+ years in sales engineering, solutions engineering, or technical consulting (developer tools, DevOps, or infrastructure preferred)
  • Background in software engineering with hands-on coding experience and knowledge of development workflows
  • Experience designing and executing technical POCs that demonstrate clear business value
  • Comfort presenting to both technical and executive audiences and navigating enterprise security/compliance conversations
  • Ability to learn complex technical products quickly and map them to customer use cases
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Product, and Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical discovery conversations to map prospects' development environments, tooling stacks, and pain points
  • Design and deliver customized product demonstrations that showcase Warp’s value for each prospect
  • Own the evaluation process from demo to proof of concept (POC), including setup, testing, and validation in customer environments
  • Provide hands-on implementation and onboarding support for team deployments
  • Partner with Sales leadership to develop and refine the technical sales playbook and best practices
  • Act as the voice of the customer to Product and Engineering, translating feedback into product insights
  • Create and maintain technical enablement materials: demo scripts, docs, reference architectures, and solution guides
  • Support responses to RFPs, security questionnaires, and technical due diligence requests

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field — or equivalent practical experience
  • Practical, demonstrable experience building or supporting developer tool integrations and deployments
