Position Summary:

The Facilities Coordinator plays a key role in supporting Travere Therapeutics’ day-to-day facilities operations, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-functioning workplace environment. This position acts as a central point of contact for building services, team member support, vendor coordination, and front desk oversight. Working with minimal supervision and maintaining a high level of confidentiality, the Facilities Coordinator is expected to demonstrate exceptional organizational, communication, and multitasking skills while adapting to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.

This role is responsible for reception management, security badge administration, vendor and visitor coordination, and general facilities support across the organization. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and thrives in high-demand, fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities:

Reception & Front Desk Operations

  • Serve as the lead for front desk operations, including processes, protocols, documentation, and team training.
  • Maintain compliance with FDA procedures for all front desk staff and ensure effective onboarding for coverage personnel.
  • Manage the appearance and cleanliness of all common areas, including the reception lobby and building spaces.
  • Oversee distribution and monitoring of company voicemails, faxes, and phone calls.

Facilities Help Desk & Vendor Coordination

  • Act as the primary contact for the Facilities Help Desk, responding to requests efficiently with a high level of customer service.
  • Coordinate service, maintenance, and repair projects with internal teams, property management, and external vendors.
  • Track and communicate the status of ongoing facility-related issues and resolutions.
  • Lead vendor management support including sourcing, RFP participation, contract coordination, and invoice processing.

Mail, Deliveries, and Supplies

  • Oversee incoming and outgoing mail, business packages, and deliveries including personal shipments, catering, and office supplies.
  • Manage company vendor supply accounts and ensure timely inventory, ordering, billing, and team member access.
  • Support toner, battery recycling, and other sustainability initiatives in coordination with IT and Facilities.

Security & Visitor Management

  • Administer the visitor management system (check-in/out, security badges, space reservations, reporting).
  • Distribute, collect, monitor, and audit employee and contractor security badges.
  • Maintain and share gym waiver links and ensure availability through internal systems.
  • Ensure compliance with company and building security procedures.

Administrative & Project Support

  • Submit and follow up on building work orders related to maintenance, security, janitorial services, and property management.
  • Prepare and manage expense reports and department documentation.
  • Create presentations, databases, spreadsheets, and other materials related to facilities and workplace operations.
  • Support company meetings and events by coordinating logistics, supplies, and collaboration with internal teams (EAST, IT, Corporate Communications, etc.).

Documentation & Records Management

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on the intranet and shared drives (e.g., safety lists, distribution contacts, CMT teams, building communications).
  • Ensure organization and accessibility of facilities records, procedures, and intranet content.
  • Assist with onboarding/offboarding tasks related to workplace setup and access.

Other Duties

  • Participate as an active member of emergency response, health & safety, and security teams.
  • Assist with employee moves, space planning, fit-outs, and workplace reconfigurations.
  • Provide general support to the Facilities team and contribute to department-wide initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.

Education/Experience Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.  Equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 2+ years of work experience in a facilities, office management, or administrative support role

Additional Skills/Experience/Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Well organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage shifting responsibilities in a dynamic, cross-functional teamwork environment.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and manage complexity.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Experience in handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to interact with all levels of staff, leadership, and external partners.
  • Flexible, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Reliable, dependable, and capable of working independently. 
  • All positions have an essential job function to be able to perform face to face work with colleagues and/or onsite in San Diego. No role is expected to be 100% remote.

Compensation: Our competitive compensation package includes a combination of both cash compensation (base pay and short-term incentive) and long-term incentive compensation (company stock), designed to recognize, retain, and reward employees.

Target Base Pay Range:

$58,000.00 - $75,000.00
