People Operations Coordinator

Temporal is an open-source-first company building a programming model and commercial SaaS platform to simplify application development and reliability. We are seeking a People Operations Coordinator to scale people systems, processes, and programs that support a globally distributed team and create an engaging, inclusive employee experience.

Skills

  • Proven HR operations experience in high-volume or shared-service environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication for global coordination
  • Familiarity with HRIS and employee record management
  • Experience with onboarding and offboarding workflows
  • Knowledge of leave administration and basic payroll audit processes
  • Comfort working in ambiguous, distributed, multi-country settings
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
  • Customer-service mindset when handling employee inquiries

Responsibilities

  • Refine and manage employee lifecycle moments including onboarding, leave tracking, transfers, and offboarding
  • Coordinate pre-start logistics and first-week programming to deliver a consistent onboarding experience
  • Create and maintain clear employee-facing content and documentation for people processes and resources
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide timely, thoughtful support across global teams
  • Update and maintain accurate employee records across People systems for hires, role changes, and terminations
  • Administer leave requests, approvals, and recordkeeping in leave management systems
  • Support employee engagement programs including recognition, milestones, merch, and distributed events
  • Assist with compliance tasks: training administration, audits, documentation, and ad hoc reporting
  • Support payroll audits, respond to tax notices, and help ensure payroll and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop scalable process improvements and culture-building initiatives

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
  • Or equivalent professional experience in HR operations
