- Technical procurement experience with PCB, PCBA, or electrical components
- Experience managing RFx processes (RFIs, RFPs, RFQs) and supplier evaluations
- Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems and BOM, work order, and PO management
- Forecasting, demand planning, and lead time analysis
- Strong data analysis skills (Excel, SQL, PowerBI)
- Should-cost modeling and cost analysis
- Contract negotiation and supplier relationship management
- Effective written and verbal communication across levels
- Ability to prioritize, learn quickly, and operate in a fast-moving environment
- Willingness to travel and work irregular/extended hours as needed
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sourcing and cost management strategies with key suppliers for existing platforms and new product development
- Aggregate and communicate overall demand signals for hardware to enable accurate production rates
- Manage RFIs, RFPs and RFQs and run the end-to-end RFX evaluation process with internal stakeholders
- Drive aggressive cost management, develop should-cost models, and implement cost-reduction programs
- Ensure suppliers are prepared to support prototype builds, ramp-up, and mass production
- Partner with engineering and manufacturing to align material planning, delivery management, and dock-to-stock coordination
- Implement supplier performance analytics and data management tools to monitor and improve supplier delivery and quality
- Present sourcing recommendations, cost reviews, and critical supply issues to SpaceX executives
- Drive internal and external process improvements to enhance efficiency and supplier responsiveness
- Manage supplier relationships and contracts, including negotiation and award execution
Education
- Bachelor’s degree (required) in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- Equivalent experience accepted (see years of experience requirements)
- Advanced degrees (MBA, MS) are beneficial but not required
