As Sales Manager for the startup segment, you will lead and inspire a team of ambitious Account Executives dedicated to supporting fast-growing, early-stage companies. This role is highly strategic: you will partner with founders and operators, shaping how they approach security and compliance while refining and scaling sales processes for a high-performing team. You’ll work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and engineering to strengthen market presence, contribute to go-to-market strategy, and ensure the sales organization is set up for long-term success. This is a unique opportunity to make a direct impact on revenue growth and customer success while fostering an inclusive and values-driven team culture.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of Account Executives, providing the tools, training, and support they need to excel in founder-led sales cycles.
  • Drive new business growth through proactive prospecting, consultative selling, and ownership of the complete sales cycle.
  • Build and refine scalable sales processes and playbooks, ensuring repeatable success.
  • Manage accurate forecasting, pipeline visibility, and reporting for leadership and investors.
  • Partner with early customers to identify needs and contribute insights to the product roadmap.
  • Introduce innovative sales tactics to shorten cycles, increase win rates, and maximize revenue.
  • Support team growth through recruitment, onboarding, and training of new Account Executives.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance sales culture.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and startup ecosystem challenges.
  • 4+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience targeting startups and small businesses, including 1–2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas as both an individual contributor and manager.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust and credibility with startup founders and operators.
  • Proven ability to thrive in competitive, fast-paced sales environments with resource-constrained buyers.
  • Experience creating or refining sales playbooks and processes from scratch.
  • Technical aptitude to quickly grasp and explain complex software solutions.
  • Empathetic, consultative leadership style focused on long-term customer success and team development.
  • Growth-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Alignment with the mission of advancing internet security and protecting customer data.
