This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director, IT Strategic Sourcing in the United States.

In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee the global sourcing strategy for IT products and services across multiple divisions and regions. You’ll drive supplier partnerships, optimize technology procurement processes, and ensure alignment between sourcing strategy and business goals. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll manage key vendor relationships, lead cost optimization initiatives, and promote innovation through strategic sourcing. This is an opportunity to influence enterprise-wide technology decisions, elevate sourcing efficiency, and shape how the organization partners with technology providers globally.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and execute global IT sourcing strategies to drive efficiency, innovation, and value across business units.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to identify sourcing opportunities, evaluate supplier performance, and ensure compliance with strategic goals.
  • Lead supplier selection processes, negotiations, and contract management to secure optimal terms and performance outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while acting as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders on sourcing strategy and procurement best practices.
  • Oversee category management for technology goods and services, leveraging data analytics and market intelligence for continuous improvement.
  • Manage and mentor direct reports, providing coaching, career development, and performance feedback to ensure excellence across the sourcing team.
  • Partner with departments such as Finance, Legal, Risk Management, and IT to align sourcing activities with broader organizational objectives.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to implement cost-saving initiatives and achieve business efficiency targets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 7–10 years of progressive experience in indirect procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably within IT categories.
  • Proven success developing and executing sourcing strategies in a large, matrixed, or multinational environment.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills with experience managing global supplier relationships.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, cost optimization strategies, and contract management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities across all organizational levels.
  • Skilled in data-driven decision-making and project management within complex business environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and sourcing or contract management systems.
  • Ability to lead teams, influence cross-functional decisions, and deliver measurable results under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
