Skills
- Deep benefits industry knowledge and experience advising HR/benefits teams
- 7+ years in customer-facing account leadership or related roles
- Proven track record managing retention and driving account growth
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation and executive presentation skills
- Proficiency with CRM and business intelligence tools (Gainsight, Gong, Looker or similar)
- Ability to mentor others and contribute to cross-functional strategy
Responsibilities
- Own a designated mid-market book (~40 logos) and be accountable for adoption, customer health, retention, and net dollar retention.
- Build consultative relationships with stakeholders from champions to C-suite and deliver regular business reviews demonstrating ROI.
- Identify upsell/expansion opportunities through discovery and partner with Product Solution Consultants to position solutions.
- Lead renewals and expansion negotiations independently.
- Use CRM and BI tools (Gong, Looker, Gainsight, etc.) to analyze account performance and act proactively.
- Provide product education and drive adoption for new features and functionality.
- Serve as a senior escalation point and voice of the customer across cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to process, training, and tooling improvements and mentor junior CSMs.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
- Relevant industry certifications (preferred, not required)
