Role Overview
We're seeking a Head of People to join our leadership team and help shape Chamber’s culture, leadership, and growth trajectory. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll be a strategic partner on our leadership team and help define the foundational strategies across culture, performance, talent, DEI, operations, and more. You’ll collaborate closely with the executive team to drive our organizational effectiveness, people strategy, and other culture initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
People Strategy & Leadership:
Architect and lead a forward-looking people strategy grounded in Chamber’s business priorities, culture, and long-term growth ambitions
Design a strategic, competitive compensation philosophy that supports performance, engagement, and equity
Translate Chamber's Values and Business Principles into a comprehensive culture and talent development strategy that will ensure a high-performing, sustainable organization
Champion an empowering, connected, and high-trust culture that attracts and retains exceptional talent
Lead initiatives on leadership development, talent retention, succession planning, and employee engagement to ensure long-term organizational health and success
Culture & Employee Experience:
Build a low-ego, high-performing, empowering culture that attracts, engages, and retains world-class talent in a collaborative environment
Design and oversee innovative employee experience programs that promote engagement, well-being, and professional fulfillment
Drive innovative employee experiences and workplace practices that make Chamber an employer-of-choice across healthcare
Own internal communication strategy to strengthen company cohesion, transparency, and alignment across distributed teams
Talent Acquisition & Development:
Build a scalable talent acquisition strategy to recruit top-tier talent across clinical, operational, technological, and executive functions
Oversee career development pathways and training programs that equip our team for sustained professional growth and leadership
Establish cadences for seamless workflow for a distributed team based across the country
Lead annual performance review and promotion cycles
HR Operations & Compliance:
Establish and optimize HR systems, policies, and processes to ensure operational excellence and compliance with all regulatory requirements
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams on policy development, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and adherence to evolving regulatory standards within healthcare
Strategic Collaboration:
Act as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to the CEO and executive team, providing insights on organizational design, change management, and leadership and team dynamics
Partner closely with finance and operations leadership to align human capital planning with financial and operational objectives
Requirements:
10+ years of experience as a strategic HR leader in growth-stage companies, preferably in healthcare, technology, or similar fast-paced environments
Deep experience in strategic organizational design, culture-building, and talent management
Proven track record of standing up functions and balancing strategy with high-level execution
Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated experience influencing and driving change at executive and board levels
Comfort navigating ambiguity and complexity inherent in rapidly scaling startups
