HR Operations & Payroll Generalist

AlertMedia is a mission-driven company providing emergency communication and threat intelligence to organizations worldwide. The People team seeks an HR Operations & Payroll Generalist to manage payroll, benefits, leave administration, HRIS ownership (Rippling), reporting, compliance projects, and employee inquiries while improving processes and delivering a great employee experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and serve as Rippling HRIS expert, ensuring accurate employee lifecycle data, access, reporting, and end-user support
  • Manage semi-monthly payroll preparation, processing, and auditing to ensure timely and accurate pay
  • Administer benefits and perks, manage billing, integrations, open enrollment, and partner with brokers
  • Administer leave of absence (LOA) and accommodations programs with compliance and employee communications
  • Operate HR ticketing system (Jira) and act as primary responder for employee inquiries
  • Deliver HR reporting and analytics; support ad hoc reporting requests from leadership
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and vendors to streamline and automate HR processes and workflows
  • Support compliance projects (EEO-1, SOC2, Form 5500 nondiscrimination testing, training) and maintain knowledge of changing employment laws
  • Provide compensation support including quarterly reporting and approval processing for salary actions, promotions, and re-leveling
  • Contribute to HR policy and process development with a simplicity-focused approach

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred or equivalent experience
  • Relevant HR certifications (SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus
