Deal Desk Manager

Vultr is a privately-held global cloud infrastructure provider focused on high-performance, affordable, and locally accessible cloud services for enterprises and AI innovators. The Deal Desk Manager will lead pricing, contract structuring, and approval workflows for strategic and complex commercial agreements, partnering closely with Sales, Finance, Legal, Product, and Customer Success to enable scalable, compliant, and profitable deal execution.

Skills

  • Expert-level Salesforce CRM and CPQ proficiency.
  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets modeling (margin, payback period, IRR, revenue scenarios).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
  • Practical understanding of revenue recognition principles and implications for pricing.
  • Experience reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts and order forms.
  • Familiarity with CLM tools and e-signature workflows.
  • Knowledge of export control, sanctions, and data sovereignty compliance.
  • Clear communicator and cross-functional collaborator with stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and structure commercial terms for strategic enterprise deals (multi-year, tiered pricing, GPUaaS consumption models).
  • Create pricing scenarios and financial models to evaluate margin, payback, IRR, revenue timing, and credit risk.
  • Review order forms, SOWs, and MSAs for accuracy, compliance, and operational readiness.
  • Manage contract lifecycle (CLM) workflows to ensure timely execution and version control.
  • Serve as central coordinator between Sales, Legal, Finance, Product, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success during the quote-to-contract process.
  • Drive deal review meetings, summarize recommendations for executive approvers, and enforce approval matrices.
  • Develop and maintain deal desk playbooks, quoting guidelines, and approval processes; train sales and channel teams on tools and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with export controls, sanctions (e.g., OFAC), data sovereignty/localization requirements, and company commercial policies.
  • Identify and mitigate credit and legal risks through contract structure and commercial terms.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for quote-to-order and contract processes.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant professional certifications or training (Salesforce, CPQ, finance) are a plus.
