Business Development Director

Voyager Technologies is a defense, national security and space technology company building mission-critical systems from ground to space. We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director with propulsion and DoD/aerospace experience to lead capture and proposal efforts, cultivate customer relationships, and drive strategic growth across government and commercial markets.

Skills

  • Business development strategy and capture management
  • Propulsion and aerospace domain knowledge
  • DoD program and government contracting experience
  • Proposal and RFP/RFI development
  • Strong written and verbal communication and executive briefing skills
  • Negotiation and contract oversight
  • Cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management
  • Ability to travel extensively and maintain security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Lead capture process and transition opportunities to proposal and program teams
  • Identify, evaluate and develop new business opportunities and markets
  • Manage key client relationships and expand company reach and brand
  • Oversee and contribute to development of RFIs, RFPs, proposals, and contracts
  • Build and lead cross-functional teams for pursuit and program support
  • Advise product development, distribution and go-to-market strategies
  • Track emerging markets, trends and competitive environment
  • Travel frequently (up to 75%) to customer, vendor, and partner sites
  • Collaborate with executives, engineers, program managers, finance, contracts and operations

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science (required)
  • Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science (preferred)
