Enterprise Account Executive (Texas - Local/Municipalities)

Verkada is a fast-growing cloud-based physical security company providing integrated video, access control, sensors, alarms, workplace and intercom products. We are seeking a driven Enterprise Account Executive to build new business across Texas municipalities and local government, owning territory strategy, net-new logo acquisition, channel collaboration and quota attainment.

Skills

  • Proven quota-carrying experience in selling complex technical solutions (software and/or hardware)
  • Strong hunter mentality with demonstrated new logo acquisition success
  • Experience selling to public sector, municipalities, or SLED accounts (preferred)
  • Comfortable managing long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and government procurement processes
  • Experience collaborating with and selling through channel partners
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for executive-level engagement
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • High emotional intelligence, self-motivation and resilience in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive territory plan targeting Texas municipalities and local government accounts
  • Prospect, qualify, and close net-new logos to achieve quarterly quota with emphasis on greenfield accounts
  • Manage full sales cycle: discovery, demos, trials, negotiations, contracting and deal closure
  • Partner with channel organizations to generate deal registrations and co-sell opportunities
  • Conduct executive briefings, presentations, and quarterly business reviews with customers
  • Provide accurate revenue forecasts and account analysis to regional leadership
  • Drive customer expansion and retention through strategic relationship building
  • Travel regularly (50%+), including domestic and occasional international travel as needed

Education

  • BS/BA degree strongly preferred
