Enterprise Account Executive (New York State - SLED)

Verkada is a rapidly growing physical security and cloud software company that builds integrated solutions including video, access control, alarms, environmental sensors, intercoms, and workplace tools. We are seeking an experienced, hunter-style Enterprise Account Executive to develop net-new SLED (State, Local, Education) business across New York State, driving greenfield account acquisition, channel partnerships, and sustained revenue growth.

Skills

  • Proven quota-carrying B2B technology sales experience
  • Strong public sector (SLED) sales knowledge or demonstrated ability to sell into government/education
  • Experience managing long, complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
  • Channel partnership and co-sell experience
  • Technical aptitude for security/hardware and cloud/SaaS solutions
  • Proficiency with MEDDIC or other formal sales qualification frameworks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel frequently and maintain strong field presence

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive territory plan for New York State SLED accounts.
  • Manage full sales cycle from prospecting to close with emphasis on net-new logo acquisition.
  • Deliver demos, product trials, and strategic negotiations with customers and channel partners.
  • Achieve quarterly quota with a focus on greenfield accounts and at least 1 qualified net new logo per quarter.
  • Partner with channel partner sales to originate deal registrations and co-sell initiatives (target 5+ registrations/quarter).
  • Drive customer expansion, retention, and renewals through executive briefings and QBRs.
  • Forecast revenue accurately and provide account analysis to leadership.
  • Travel regularly (estimated >50%) for customer engagements, events, and team collaboration.

Education

  • BS/BA degree strongly preferred
  • Relevant technical or business coursework is a plus
