The Continuing Legal Education office (UT Law CLE) at The University of Texas School of Law is seeking mature and driven students to join our team. Purpose
The Marketing Assistant position offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, detail-oriented office environment. This role supports UT Law CLE’s marketing and administrative efforts while providing exposure to professional communications and event production.
Responsibilities
Assist the marketing team with email creation and management. Assist in creating, editing, and scheduling email campaigns in Emma. Help maintain email distributions lists.
Assist the Marketing Manager and team with conference and sponsorship collateral, including onsite signage, PowerPoint creation, and other collateral as needed.
Help research new and creative ways to enhance our marketing reach and outputs. Could include social media research such as hashtags, and best practices to increase engagement.
Data entry (entering customer evaluations, updating customer database).
Other office tasks as needed could include:
Assisting Sr. Program Director with accreditation needs for all live conferences, including but not limited to online submission of applications and the attendee credit reporting process.
Assisting the E-Products coordinator with uploading and reviewing audio and video files (MP3, MP4 files) and accreditation needs for e-products.
If on-site at events, assisting with event set up, registration and providing customer support.
Support with conference preparation as needed.
Required Qualifications
Enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin as an undergraduate student
Meet minimum eligibility requirements for student employment
Authorized to work in the United States
Ability to work in the fall and spring semester for 25-26 academic year, summer employment may also be available depending on office needs
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and mail merge)
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
Working knowledge and use of Canva
Working knowledge of Emma or other email marketing system
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Business, Marketing, or Communications degree
Advanced knowledge and prior use of Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and email marketing systems
Salary Range
$17 per hour

Work Schedule
Must be available to work at least 10 hours per week
Position begins on September 1, 2025 and ends on May 31, 2026 with possible extension into summer as needed
Work may be scheduled flexibly during core business hours of Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
Eligible for rehire for future semesters based on performance
