About your Role:
As a contact-based Marketing Specialist, you will support a fast-paced, collaborative marketing team within a dynamic, end-to-end corporate marketing department. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of School Marketing, you will help execute omni-channel campaigns that drive new student enrollment and increase engagement across Stride’s portfolio of online schools.
In this role, you’ll champion our local schools—working closely with teams across corporate communications, social media, creative, demand generation, market research, product, and enrollment—as well as with external agencies and school leaders. Your contributions will help ensure that prospective families clearly understand the value of our schools, directly supporting Stride’s mission and enrollment goals.
SUMMARY: The Marketing Specialist will support the planning, development, and execution of marketing campaigns for Stride’s core business—our management of 70+ online schools. This includes setting campaign objectives, developing campaign timelines and strategies, and partnering with internal and external teams to create communication assets across digital and offline channels. The role will also help assess campaign impact and effectiveness through testing and performance analysis. As Stride’s K–12 schools represent a strategic business priority, this position offers a unique opportunity to innovate and make meaningful contributions to organizational success.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns that support enrollment and engagement goals for our online schools
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver campaign assets across channels including paid media, social media, email, digital events, SEO, and other relevant channels
Contribute to the creation of messaging and marketing content that aligns with school value propositions and addresses audience needs
Collaborate with external earned media agencies to execute local and regional public relations and awareness campaigns
Partner with creative, product, and school leadership teams to ensure campaign materials accurately reflect product features, benefits, and differentiators
Use market research insights to inform campaign strategy, positioning, and content development
Support A/B testing initiatives and apply findings to improve campaign performance and audience engagement
Track and analyze marketing metrics (e.g., website traffic, conversion rates, lead generation) to assess campaign effectiveness and recommend optimizations
Maintain organized documentation for marketing plans, timelines, deliverables, and campaign results
Contribute to new product launches by coordinating cross-functional efforts and developing launch materials
Foster strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment and collaboration
Ensure timely, clear, and accurate communication with stakeholders throughout campaign planning and execution
Stay informed on trends, tools, and best practices in K–12 education, digital marketing, and product marketing to enhance team strategy and execution
Serve as a reliable contributor with growing subject matter expertise in assigned responsibilities
This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities. There may be opportunities to supervise and mentor interns.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1–2 years of professional or internship experience in marketing, communications, or a related field OR Equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to manage priorities and work independently
Highly organized, detail-oriented, meets deadlines consistently
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High standards for quality and accountability in deliverables
Certificates and Licenses: None required.
OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent presentation skills with ability to leverage technology effectively
Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills with ability to build strong working relationships
Ability to work both independently and within a team-oriented environment
Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail
Experience using and reporting on marketing performance metrics
Ability to prioritize effectively and manage competing priorities to deliver and drive results
Ability to travel 10% of the time (minimal e.g. school board meetings / video shoot / team building events)
Ability to clear required background check
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience or interest in the K–12 education or edtech sector
Previous collaboration with cross-functional remote teams
Strong strategic thinking, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills
