Senior Disputes Analyst

Highnote is an embedded finance company providing card issuing, processing, and program management solutions for digital-first businesses. They are seeking a Senior Disputes Analyst to own escalation handling, quality assurance, trend identification, and process improvements to increase accuracy and speed of dispute resolution across the platform.

Skills

  • Deep knowledge of Reg E, Reg Z, and card network rules and dispute lifecycles
  • Proven experience in payment disputes or fraud risk management
  • Strong analytical skills with experience identifying trends and root causes
  • Experience conducting QA/audits and improving operational workflows
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management

Responsibilities

  • Monitor dispute case queues, resolve escalations, and ensure SLA and compliance adherence
  • Conduct quality audits and track recurring issues to drive accountability and process improvements
  • Partner with Product, Risk, and Engineering to surface edge cases and propose system or workflow fixes
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend updates to tools, documentation, and procedures
  • Maintain operational dashboards, produce weekly summaries, and communicate insights to stakeholders
  • Coach and support frontline dispute processors on complex cases and best practices

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, or related field preferred
  • Relevant payments, compliance, or risk certifications are a plus
