Baseplan Software is looking for a confident, coachable and energeticĀ Sales Development Representative (SDR)Ā to help fuel our next stage of growth. This SDR role offers a blend of outbound sales, event-based prospecting, and account-based targeting.

You’ll work closely with our Director of Sales and Marketing Manager to build targeted campaigns, book high-quality meetings, and drive new business outcomes. While experience and qualifications are important, we believe that a driven salesperson who isn't afraid to pick up the phone and engage with clients is the most important factor in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation:Ā Research and identify potential clients through various channels, including online research, databases, trade shows and internal leads.
  • Initial Contact:Ā Reach out to potential clients via phone, email, and other communication platforms to gather initial information and assess interest in Baseplan’s solution.
  • Qualification:Ā Evaluate the needs of potential clients to determine their suitability for our software solution, including understanding their business challenges, day-to-day operations, and goals.
  • Data Management:Ā Maintain accurate records of all client interactions in our CRM system, ensuring all information is up-to-date and complete.
  • Collaboration:Ā Work closely with the sales and marketing team to transfer qualified leads, ensuring a smooth handoff through the sales pipeline.
  • Feedback:Ā Provide feedback to the marketing team on the quality of leads generated from different sources to help refine and improve lead generation strategies.
  • Reporting:Ā Regularly report on lead qualification metrics, including the number of leads generated, qualified, and passed on to the sales team.

Skills and Experience:

  • A driven sales personality with a strong desire to pick up the phone and engage with potential clients is a must.
  • Experience in a lead generation or sales support role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong research and analytical abilities.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and lead management processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Base salary range: $62,488 - $93,730 annually

Other compensation: This position is eligible to participate in the discretionary company bonus plan.
