Job Description
The Tight HQ is in Washington, DC, in the renowned Dupont Circle neighborhood, directly across the street from the Dupont Circle Metro Station. We are in our high-energy office 5 days a week, and we’re looking to bring on a Sales leader who embraces the opportunity to collaborate with high-trajectory teammates in our HQ. Tight is growing at a rapid pace, with 50% year-over-year employee growth, and we’re looking for a leader who not only embraces the growth but also is excited by the amount of change that comes with this growth.
Many financial technology (FinTech) platforms are building products that leverage Tight's Embedded Accounting UIs, APIs and SDKs; over 1.3M users are leveraging said products across dozens of small business platforms, including Vertical SaaS platforms, Horizontal SaaS platforms, and Virtual Bookkeeping platforms.
Tight's recently formed Business Development team aids discovery of these FinTechs and performs outreach to get in front of these platforms, ultimately letting them know how they can leverage Tight’s embedded accounting solutions to grow their user base and revenue, and nurturing the relationship until they are ready to prioritize embedded accounting.
We're looking for an enthusiastic, quick, and passionate sales leader who can close deals with those platforms, effectively transitioning Tight away from founder-led sales. The ideal sales leader will be a player-coach who is an expert at:
Developing and executing sales strategies (as a player)
Taking over prospects following product demos, and driving all the way to close
Negotiating enterprise contracts
Managing a strong pipeline
Potentially managing and expanding the sales team (as a coach)
Qualifications
The following qualifications would help build confidence in the ability to grow into the above responsibilities:
3 to 10 years of experience in B2B/Enterprise Sales and Sales Management
Demonstrated success in Account Management and building client relationships
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work on-site in Washington, DC
Ability/desire to travel to prospective customer sites, marketing events, and conferences
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
