Director, Talent Acquisition

Spark Advisors is a fast-growing health-tech company modernizing how independent Medicare brokers acquire, enroll, and serve clients. We’re hiring our first Director of Talent Acquisition to design and scale a best-in-class recruiting function that will support Spark’s growth from ~100 employees to 200+ — blending strategic leadership, hands-on execution, and strong partnership with executives.

Skills

  • Full-cycle recruiting across technical, non-technical, and executive roles
  • Experience leading and scaling a recruiting function in a high-growth startup
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive partnering skills
  • Data-driven approach to recruiting with experience tracking funnel metrics
  • Advanced experience with Greenhouse ATS and Brighthire or comparable platforms
  • Hands-on sourcing, interview orchestration, and closing experience
  • Familiarity with compensation benchmarking and regulatory compliance for U.S. hires
  • Comfort operating in a distributed/remote environment

Responsibilities

  • Design and scale Spark’s recruiting organization to meet hiring goals across engineering, product, operations, sales, and executive roles
  • Manage and coach one full-time recruiter and a network of contract recruiters; define roadmap for team expansion
  • Own the candidate experience and employer brand from sourcing through offer and onboarding
  • Partner closely with executives and hiring managers to shape talent strategy tied to workforce planning
  • Implement and optimize recruiting systems, tools, and processes to improve efficiency and data-driven decision-making
  • Act as a player/coach—lead critical searches and mentor the recruiting team on sourcing and closing
  • Track, analyze, and report recruiting funnel metrics and insights to leadership
  • Ensure hiring practices comply with legal and compensation guidelines and support market competitiveness

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
  • HR, business, or related field recommended but not required
  • Relevant recruiting certifications (PHR/SPHR/SHRM) are a plus
