Strategic Account Manager, SanMar Sports

SanMar Sports is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to drive growth and cultivate long-term partnerships within the team sports market. The role requires strong communication, leadership, planning and creative problem-solving to identify new business opportunities, expand market share and support national programs while coordinating closely with inside sales, territory managers and other internal teams.

Skills

  • Proven strategic or territory sales experience (4-6 years)
  • Strong executive-level presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple projects and travel
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM systems
  • Data-driven decision making and collaboration with analytics teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities

  • Present SanMar’s value proposition to corporate executives and support localized presentations with Territory Managers
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key account executives and local office managers
  • Serve as a resource for independent accounts on major local or national opportunities
  • Communicate strategic account goals, market trends and insights across sales and operations teams
  • Advocate for customer needs to drive improvements that enhance the customer experience
  • Negotiate, track and implement incentive, pricing and product programs
  • Maintain Salesforce with activities, meetings and account information
  • Schedule and plan meetings and travel several weeks in advance
  • Develop corporate-level sales and marketing plans and translate them into account-level action plans
  • Collaborate with sales analytics to analyze account sales, profitability and program performance
  • Perform other duties as assigned and comply with company policies and standards

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Base salary range $120,000 - $170,000 annually
  • Eligible for annual discretionary bonus up to 10% of base
