The Faculty Affairs Specialist supports the strategic and operational functions of faculty lifecycle management, including hiring, appointments, compensation, workload, performance tracking, and compliance with university policies. This role serves as a liaison between academic departments, HR, and college leadership to ensure faculty processes are efficient, equitable, and aligned with institutional goals.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to: Coordinate the faculty recruitment processes to ensure compliance with university faculty recruitment policies and procedures. Maintain accurate records; Support annual merit review and performance management processes. Track faculty teaching and ensure accuracy of faculty teaching load. Provide support to the Faculty Affairs Manager to capture faculty activities and support review processes Oversee the process to review semester lecturers. Manage processes specific to faculty, such as emeritus requests, tenure clock stoppages, faculty leave, graduate status requests.
Additional Information – On occasions this position will be required have early start times in addition to working late and/or on the weekends.
The target hiring range for this job profile is $55,700 – 72,700. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
