The Department of Administrative Services (“DAS”) is the central administrative agency that leads state government to implement the policy and budget decisions of the Governor and Oregon Legislature. Employing an enterprise-wide perspective, DAS serves state government by developing and upholding accountability standards to ensure productive and efficient use of state government’s financial, human and information resources.
The Administrative Coordinator position is with the Enterprise Information Services (EIS) Data Center Services (DCS) Administration team. Under the supervision of the office manager, you will coordinate a variety of detailed and confidential program, operational and administrative duties and activities supporting the administrative section of the division, including personnel and position management for division leadership and management.
Position duties and responsibilities at a glance:
Assists Division Personnel Coordinator (DPC) with audit and identification of vacant positions for division recruitments, accurately reflecting the division’s most current organizational structure.
Data Center Services (DCS) Records Retention Coordinator and Equipment Coordinator.
Upon request, assists as a backup for the Executive Support Specialist 2, providing support to the director and deputy director of the division.
Facilitator for division NEOs, sponsored by administrator and supervised by the DPC practitioner.
Assists as a DCS travel and training coordinator.

What We Are Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
Three years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis; OR
An associate degree in general office occupations and two years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Attributes:
Demonstrated skill and experience performing administrative support functions requiring independent judgment, decision-making, and problem resolution.
Experience and skills with meeting minutes, coordination and facilitation.
Demonstrated skills in research techniques sufficient to collect, analyze, interpret and report data in both a narrative and statistical format.
Proficient in the use of software such as Adobe Captivate and Acrobat, Microsoft Office applications including Visio, Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook
Demonstrated ability and skill communicating orally with a variety of people at all levels such as Administrators, other agency or legislative staff members, the press, and the public with the ability to maintain confidentiality as needed for the situation.
Preferred experience in administrative policies, processes and procedures and interpreting laws, rules, policies and procedures and applying interpretations to specific actions.
