Account Executive (@Remote, Texas)

OfferUp is a leading local marketplace app focused on connecting buyers and sellers in communities across the U.S. They are hiring an entry-level Account Executive to drive growth with businesses (including auto dealers and local merchants) through outbound sales, exceptional customer service, and cross-functional collaboration. This role is ideal for a motivated, self-starting salesperson eager to learn, contribute to strategy, and help scale OfferUp’s business programs.

Skills

  • Proven phone-based sales and appointment-setting ability
  • Experience with short sales cycles and inside sales processes
  • Strong prospecting, hunting, and lead qualification skills
  • Proficiency with Salesforce CRM and sales reporting
  • Excellent verbal communication and objection handling
  • Ability to manage time, meet activity KPIs, and self-motivate in a remote role

Responsibilities

  • Make 50–60 outbound calls per day (targeting 60+ minutes of talk time) to secure new business
  • Sell OfferUp Business and OfferUp Verified Dealer programs to licensed businesses
  • Provide exemplary customer service and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Research, prospect, and target businesses across assigned territories and categories
  • Leverage the tech stack for accurate reporting, opportunity discovery, and efficient outreach
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Business Operations to incorporate customer learnings
  • Track, lead, and report all prospecting activity and results in Salesforce CRM

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Relevant coursework or training in sales, marketing, or business is a plus
