Provide advice and counsel to management and HR professionals on all aspects of day-to-day employment-related matters, including hiring and termination issues, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, reasonable accommodations, leaves of absence, wage and hour issues, restrictive covenants and their enforcement, and employee investigations.
Manage the drafting and revision of correspondence, separation agreements and internal policies, and other employment related documents.
Provide legal guidance and support regarding leaves under the FMLA and other statutes.
Supervise and direct outside counsel in execution of strategies in employment litigation.
Be focused and proactive in tracking federal and state laws and regularly update Coworker Services and other appropriate departments with regard to new legislation. Identify trends and plan for risks in the employment area.
Provide employment law support during acquisitions and similar transactions as required.
Develop and maintain a complete understanding of company policies and participate in the administration of those policies, and in particular, participating with Human Resources and Compliance in the administration of company policies and handbooks.
Qualifications:
At least 4 years of experience providing employment related legal counsel at a law firm or corporation.
Experience developing legal strategy and tactics for complex, high profile matters.
Experience providing legal advice to senior executives and other senior leaders.
Experience diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
Experience working with cross-functional teams and facilitating teams to identify and implement solutions to complex problems.
Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
Position requires travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$152,880.00 - $229,320.00 AnnualThe actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
