Work Location:            Fully Remote (within the U.S.)

Starting Base Pay Range:  $75,000 - $85,000 per year depending on qualifications

Bonus Eligibility:          Yes, discretionary bonuses  

 

 

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:

Kruze Consulting is a boutique CPA firm that provides accounting, bookkeeping, finance, payroll, and tax services to over 750 startups backed by top tier venture capital funds. The People Business Partner will join a growing, 5-person HR/people team to serve our diverse global workforce of 180 people. This person will partner with managers and teams to drive a high-performance culture across the organization. The People Business Partner will focus on talent activation, employee performance, development, and engagement. They will leverage support from People Operations “centers of excellence” to cultivate an environment for high-performing teams. Kruze Consulting has a proven track record of developing their employees to their highest potential. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING BY CATEGORY:

·        Manager coaching to facilitate high-performing teams (about 20% of the time)

·        Performance management, continuous feedback, and goal-setting (about 20% of the time)

·        Employee relations (about 10% of the time)

·        Career development and mobility (about 10% of the time)

·        Employee engagement (about 10% of the time)

·        Learning and development (about 10% of the time)

·        Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (about 5% of the time)

·        Culture, community, and events (about 5% of the time)

·        Internal Employee Communication (about 5% of the time)

·        Internal meetings, training, and professional development, etc.  (about 5% of the time)

 

WHAT YOU WON’T BE DOING:

·        Compensation and payroll, benefits and total rewards, HRIS and other HR systems, and recruitment & selection (Other people on the team have primary responsibility for these areas, but as a small team, we’re all generalists and there is some overlap and a lot of collaboration!)

 

BIG PRIORITIES FOR YOUR FIRST 90 DAYS:

·        Besides getting acclimated to the company, the People team, the tech, and the people, you will:

·        Start getting to know and building trust with your 60+ staff clients and 20+ manager clients

·        Get in at the ground floor on our 15Five performance management system implementation

·        Get in at the ground floor of our EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) roll out and implementation

 

NEED TO HAVE/POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

·        2+ years of full-time HR/People Business Partnering experience

·        2+ years of experience in a corporate environment with 100 to 300 employees

·        Hands-on experience with Manager Coaching, Employee Relations, and Performance Management

·        A strong understanding of people policies, procedures, compliance, and Federal/state labor laws

 

NICE TO HAVE/POSITION PREFERENCES:

·        Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university

·        Progress towards or attainment of a PHR® designation

·        Experience working within an organization running on EOS (the Entrepreneurial Operating System)

·        Experience working with a globally diverse contingent workforce with independent contractors

·        Experience in a fully-remote people-centric culture

·        Experience in a high-growth/start-up/entrepreneurial environment

·        Experience in a professional service firm (accounting, consulting, law firm, marketing/advertising, etc.)

·        Experience with a deep HR tech stack (We use Lever ATS, Bonusly, Rippling, 15Five, Monday, Trello, Talogy, etc.)

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Extended periods of focused, seated computer work – approximately 8 hours a day.
