Talent Coordinator

Description

Ready to be a part of the company transforming FinTech and how the world accesses banking services?

When was the last time you were excited about interacting with your bank or credit union? If the answer is “a while” then you’re in good company. Despite the fact that access to better financial choices is at the heart of empowering communities, businesses, and people, financial institutions (FIs) are struggling to keep up with modern expectations.

And that’s where Kinective comes in. We’re here to change the way the world accesses and thinks about banking through software that connects a historically “boring” industry to the latest and greatest fintechs shaping the industry.

Ok... but what does all of that actually mean? Banks and credit unions are using some pretty old-school systems, which makes adopting new and innovative technology difficult (if not impossible). If you think it’s easy for your local branch to send you a receipt via text… think again.

Want proof? As the largest provider of software connectivity to 1 in 4 U.S. financial institutions, we are the leading company transforming the way banking is done for credit unions and banks. (In fact, Forbes recently released their Best Banks in the World report, and Kinective works with over 60% of their named banks!).

Kinective is the connector (get it?) that bridges that technology gap and helps modernize the way banking works. Our 300+ team of mega-talented and passionate folks are brought together with the unifying desire to make life easier (and better) for our clients and ultimately paving the way for banks and credit unions to modernize banking for everyone.

The Cliffs Notes
As the Talent Coordinator at Kinective, you’ll play a key role in keeping our people operations organized and running smoothly, while helping to create a thoughtful and consistent employee experience. This role is a great fit for someone who’s highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives on being helpful behind the scenes. You’re comfortable juggling multiple priorities, communicating clearly, and handling sensitive information with care.

Reporting to the Manager, Talent, you’ll partner closely with the broader Talent Team and employees across the business. A day in the life of this role could look something like: 60% focused on onboarding, offboarding, HRIS updates, and employee support; 40% supporting people programs, coordinating events, and contributing to special projects that make Kinective an even better place to work.

What You’ll Own

  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions related to policies, processes, and general HR support.
  • Own the coordination and execution of onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth and thoughtful experience.
  • Keep our employee records up to date and organized in our HRIS (Paylocity), ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
  • Support the administration of employee lifecycle events, including promotions, transfers, compensation changes, and policy updates.
  • Assist in the coordination of people programs like performance reviews, engagement surveys, and learning initiatives.
  • Partner with the Talent team on special projects, event planning, and process improvements that enhance the overall employee experience.
  • Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations by staying on top of documentation and audit readiness.

What You’re Great At

  • You’re highly organized, detail-oriented, and love keeping things on track—even when juggling multiple moving parts.
  • You communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally across all levels of the business.
  • You understand the importance of confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care and discretion.
  • You take initiative and are always looking for ways to improve a process, solve a problem, or lend a hand.
  • You’re people-focused and naturally approachable—folks feel comfortable coming to you with questions or problems
  • You enjoy working in a collaborative environment and aren’t afraid to ask questions or raise your hand when something needs doing.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and are excited about growing your HR career in a mission-driven company.

Requirements

Necessary Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in an HR, people operations, or administrative support role
  • Familiarity with HR systems (bonus if you’ve used Paylocity, ADP, or similar platforms)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Strong understanding of the importance of confidentiality and accuracy in handling employee information
  • Comfortable navigating a fast-paced environment and shifting priorities
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field is a plus, but not required
